During the couple of months since my original pitch, I have made a lot of progress with my DA. I spent a lot of time watching tutorials on Youtube to help me figure out how to make candles as I have never made the before.
I ordered my wax and fragrance oils from Wax & Wicks and my candle moulds from AliExpress. My first batch of candles came out a lot better than I anticipated. I did have some issues, however they were minor, and thanks to the videos I know that I must adjust the temperature that I pour my wax in order to correct them.
I posted some polls online to gain some feedback from my audience.
Some people also left comments of things they wanted to see from my brand.
The results really helped me to refine my idea and adjust it to my customers needs.
Since making my first candles, and once taking in the above feedback I have decided to make the following changes to my DA:
- Assign a colour to a scent for each candle
- Refine my candle making skills
- Sell on Etsy
- Keep my selection minimal so as to launch sooner rather than later
- Start a Tiktok and IGTV to post ‘how to’ videos on
